The UBCO Gardening Club is rolling up sleeves to make our community more FireSmart.
On August 20, the Gardening Club will be joined by Kelowna Fire Department Captain Jason Twamley for an outdoor classroom session on FireSmart principles. On Sept 16 and Oct 2, the Gardening Club will have the opportunity to help design some FireSmart plant beds, and finally to get their hands dirty bring a FireSmart plant bed to life on campus.
