Salto Access Request
Update your Salto card to gain access to buildings or rooms around UBC Okanagan.
Submitting a Salto access request
Each department has a designated SALTO Approver. All access requests should be submitted to your department’s Salto approver, who will submit access requests on your behalf.
If you don’t know who your department’s Salto Approver is, please ask your Manager or Dean. Access requests will not be processed unless they are submitted by a Salto Approver.
Campus Security recommends access requests be submitted at least 10 business days in advance. Please give your Salto approver enough time to submit these requests.
During peak times, access requests are processed within 5-10 days. At other times of year, requests are usually processed within 2–3 business days.
- Identify who the access request is for (this will determine the form you need to fill out)
- Staff and Faculty

- If additional authorization is required, forward the completed access request Form to the appropriate Manager, Dean or Faculty member for authorization
- Copy and paste the contents of the form in the body of a new email to security.salto@ubc.ca. We recommend submitting requests at least 10 business days in advance of the date of effect.
