About Golf Cart

Borrowing a golf cart

UBC employees may request to borrow a golf cart from Facilities Management via an Archibus work request. Please outline the intended use, as well as requested dates and times.

Please attach proof that you have completed training (see below) or email it to facilities.ok@ubc.ca.

Please note: Facilities Management cannot guarantee that golf carts will available to borrow during peak periods. You may also contact the Conferences and Accommodation department or the Student Housing and Community Services department to inquire if their carts are available.

Golf cart training procedure

UBC employees can request to borrow a golf cart from Facilities Management.

Before operating a golf cart, you must complete the online Golf Cart Safety course, followed by an in-person training session.

The in-person session can be completed by your departmental golf cart trainer or by Facilities Management. To request an in-person session from Facilities Management, create an Archibus work request at least one week in advance of their preferred training date.

UBC employees who have completed the initial training are required to complete the Golf Cart Safety Refresher course annually.

Additional information

Facilities Management is responsible for maintaining oversight of the golf cart safety training program.

All golf cart trainers must attend an orientation session with Facilities Management prior to conducting training for their employees.

All registration and licensing for all UBCO owned golf carts is initiated through Campus Operations and Risk Management.
