Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) works with contractors and campus partners to ensure hazardous waste is disposed of in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Hazardous waste pickups are managed through the Hazardous Waste Inventory System.

If you are looking to report a spill that affects the outdoor environment or the campus sewer system, please email a completed Spill Reporting Form to hse.ok@ubc.ca.

Supporting Lab Sustainability
Where possible, lab waste is safely recycled or reused, as part of the UBC-wide Green Labs initiative to reduce the environmental impact of research on campus.
